Hotel Management

Hotel Management is a course that trains students to work in the hospitality sector in various specializations like Hospitality Management, Hotel and Tourism Management, Hotel Administration, and Catering Technology.

Hotel Management Courses are available as short-term certificate courses, to full-time diploma hotel management courses, UG and PG hotel management courses with hospitality management, catering service, and tourism as specializations.

BHM or Bachelor of Hotel Management is bachelor’s degree programme in hospitality and travel field. Hotel Management course is a 3-yr undergraduate degree in hospitality management. This course is usually of three years duration. Candidates who have cleared their Class 12 from any stream (Humanities, Commerce or Science) are eligible to pursue this course.

Requirements For Hotel Management

  • Minimum qualification required for Hotel Management course is 10+2. Students can even opt for certificate diploma or even degree course.
  • The admission to hotel management certificate and diploma courses is direct, while the UG, PG and PhD courses are offered either on the merit of class 12 or through valid cut-off scores in hotel management entrance exams like GNIHM JET, NCHMCT JEE, AIHMCT, and other common university-level exams.
  • Selection for Government colleges and Institutes is done through an entrance test which is held every year in the month of April- NCHM JEE.
